What Is a Corporate Training Workshop?
A workshop is different from a lecture or a course in one important way: most of the time is spent practising, not listening. Participants work through real scenarios, get feedback from a facilitator and from each other, and leave with a rehearsed skill rather than a set of notes. That is why workshops change behaviour where slide-based training does not.
Our workshops run from half a day to two days and work best with 8 to 24 participants — enough people for varied perspectives, few enough that everyone gets to practise. Every workshop is customised to your industry, using your real situations as the practice material.

The right format depends on the depth of skill change you need:
- Half-day (3 to 4 hours) — a single skill with limited practice depth. Good for awareness.
- Full day (around 7 hours) — one skill area with substantial practice. Our most common format.
- Two days — complex skills that need layered practice, such as negotiation, presentation or handling difficult conversations.
- Virtual modules — 2 to 3 hours each; a one-day workshop typically becomes three virtual modules.
- Ideal group size is 12 to 18; the practical range is 8 to 24.
We do not deliver a generic workshop off the shelf. Before delivery we speak to the sponsor to define the outcome, sample a cross-section of the intended participants, and rewrite the cases, role-plays and exercises using your industry, your terminology and the situations your people actually face. Participants rehearse the conversation they are going to have on Monday, not a textbook example.
This is why a workshop for a bank’s relationship managers and the same-titled workshop for a hospital’s department heads look very different in the room, even when the underlying skill is the same.
